Lee Greenwood Sings “USA Today”
I want to share a moment in time with you. This is my song “USA TODAY” as performed by Lee Greenwood on the OPRY LIVE SHOW on GAC TV on August 27, 2008 right after singing his patriotic song “God Bless The USA”. I was honored that Lee loved my song enough to make it his single and release it on the 25th anniversary of the release of his first legendary song which is now second only to “The Star Spangled Banner” in popularity nationwide according to recent poles.
I know it doesn’t seem cool these days to be a truly patriotic American if it includes placing a high value on our Christian heritage. We read and hear things all the time that attempt, with great success in recent years, to somehow convince many Americans that we are not, nor have we ever been a Christian nation. This, in spite of the words in our founding historical documents, and the immortal words carved in stone or etched in bronze on so many of our national monuments, and government buildings that clearly state otherwise. Yes, these Christian values are being deleted from our collective minds daily by a programmer who would prefer modern day Secular Humanism as our new religion. But all is not lost ……..
I believe most Americans still hold to the Christian values and the principles that made our Country great, and I’m not endorsing some of the failures we’ve seen in our history (Lord knows we’ve had plenty) by saying so. Those failures, however, are common to all men in all nations throughout the history of this fallen world. In spite of our failures, we have always been an incredibly generous people. Just look at the causes of freedom we’ve defended throughout this world, the wars where our brave men and women have fought and died to further the cause of someone else’s freedom. Don’t ever forget: As goes the freedom in our blessed nation, so goes freedom around the World. So proudly stand up America and shout it out: “We’re still one nation under God!”

Great moment to hear this! I sent this link out on Twitter. Be sure to go and follow those who are following you soon (less Spam etc.!!) It is indeed exciting to hear and see your music on the internet. This is cool!
